Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. My name is Ipek and I love cooking and sharing. This recipe is another my favorite Turkish recipe which is Turkish Sautéed Meat which is also called as Et Sote in Turkish.

I am so happy to be able to share this recipe with you all because I know you are going to love it! 

It is easy, delicious recipe that goes with whatever you like to serve with. You can serve with rice (Turkish Rice is delicious match for it if you want to go for a whole Mediterranean cuisine), mash potato or some cauliflower mash as a healthy option of it which you can find recipe on my Chicken Shepherd's Pie, salad or even soup.

Actually, there is no too much of trick to make this delicious meal. Just cut everything very small! I think it is the only think you should be careful about. Then, let everything cook in low heat slowly. All tastes are going to soak into each other. Even thinking makes my mouth watery!

At the end, meat is going to get so soft with this cooking method when you bite it is going to melt in your mouth.

As you can see not every Mediterranean / Turkish foods are hard to cook on the opposite there are so many easy ones. And I love to share all of them with you so you can start cooking different dishes at your home. If you have any Turkish recipe you like to know let me know on the comments please!

Turkish Style Sautéed Meat

This Sautéed Meat is cooking in Turkish style with little bit of ingredients. We all love easy and delicious meal and this is one of them. The way we cook make this meat so delicious when you bite it melts in your mouth!

Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 lb top sirloin
  • 3/4 green pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 4 small tomato peeled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt & black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp thyme leaves

Instructions
 

  • Cut meat and vegetables into very small pieces. Peel tomatoes and cut them like that.

  • Heat olive oil and butter into pan.

  • Add meat and cook till they get brown all around.
    Cook meat
  • When meat is done (we do not cook all the way at this point) in order add onion, pepper, garlic and tomatoes. After each item give 2-3 minutes to cook than add other ingredient.
  • After tomato add all spices and mix it.
  • Lower heat, cover and let it cook slowly for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Till meat cook and get soft. So time might change because of differences of how big your meat is. Check every one in a while to understand if it is done.

Notes

  • Everything in this recipe needs to be cut into very small pieces.
  • It needs to cook slowly for awhile so meat can soak tastes in it while cooking into oil, butter and tomato juice.
