Fried Food Plates

Hey everyone, we are cooking another delicious Turkish food. We are making ` Fried Food Plate ` . 

In Turkey, this food is cooking mostly in summer time. Because of it is so easy to make and delicious make this meal perfect for summer time! Combination of different fried vegetables with meatball and two different sauce sounds yummy! One sauce is yogurt sauce with some garlic and dill. Other one is tomato sauce with just tomato and garlic. Yes there is a lot of garlic but Turkish cuisine include lots of garlic and onion on their food.

Ingredients:

For meatball:

  • 1/4 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Small Onion
  • 2 Tbsp Of Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tsp Of Salt And Pepper

Vegetables:

  • 1 - 2 Zucchini
  • 1 Eggplant
  • 2 Potato
  • Vegetable Oil 

Tomato Sauce

  • 2 Tomato
  • 1 Clove Of Garlic
  • 2 - 3 Tbsp Of Frying Oil (same oil that we are using for vegetables)
  • 1 Tsp Of Salt

Yogurt Sauce:

  • 4 Tbsp Of Yogurt
  • 3 Clove Of Garlic
  • 3 Piece Of Dill
  • 1 Tsp Of Salt

How To Cook:

  • First start preparing your meatball because it needs to stay in the fridge little bit. at least till we are done with vegetables.
  • Cut your onion in a small pieces.
  • Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion and salt. Knead them for 4 minutes. Wrap with plastic wrap and put into the fridge.
  • Start heating vegetable oil and cutting vegetables. 
  • *First we need to start frying eggplants because they are easy to absorb oil and while oil is fresh it is better to start with eggplant.
  • After all vegetables are fried, shape meatball into medium size balls. And fry them too.
  • While meatballs are cooking, take 2 or 3 frying oil from same pan that we are frying vegetables and put into small pot. 
  • Cut tomatoes and add to the pan with salt.
  • Cut garlics into small pieces and add 1 clove of it into tomato sauce. Cover it and let it cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
  • Take meatballs when they are done. 
  • Take 4 table spoon of yogurt into bowl. Add rest of garlic. Cut dill into small pieces and add that to yogurt too. Mix them well with salt.
  • When everything is ready take whatever you want into your plate. Enjoy your food!
