I love potatoes! Like every type of potato. It can be fry, cooked with meal, even boil. I love love love them. French fries are always side dish order for me wherever I go. And these potato wedges can compete with them.

They are so crunchy outside and soft inside. Especially with little touches of spices it takes taste to whole another level.

I am not going to say it is a healthy recipe because there is potato BUT it is way innocent than fries for sure. With only 1 tbsp of olive oil you can have this tasty side dish. OR if you are like me we can call it a meal too. 

Potatoes are so easy to go vegetables with everything. You can use with anything to make a meal or serve with anything as a side dish. It goes with every taste and they always taste good. Fry, with sauce, sautee, boil, puree, etc.. All delicious types of cooking potatoes. You can check which recipe I used potatoes and what did I make if you are a potato lover too. As you can see there are vegetarian options to healthy options everything!

How to make baked potato wedges baked in the oven is an easy way to cook potatoes and turn them into a delicious side dish or appetizer!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 potatoes my potatoes were big so you can use 3 small/medium size too
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano

Instructions
 

  • Wash and cut potatoes. They are going to be wedge shapes. If you do not know how to cut them like them check video. But basically, first we are cutting a potato into two from middle. Than, cut each side into two again from middle. If your potato is small you don't have to do this step. Cutting one time from middle will be enough. After that depends on how big your potato, cut 2 or 3 pieces from each sides. While doing this place your potato toward down little bit but so you can cut from edge.
  • Take an oven pan. Place parchment or cooking paper. Put potatoes in with oil and spices.
  • Give it a good mix. Place them as like one side is looking down.
  • Cook in the oven at 400F (200C) for 15 minutes first. After 15 minutes take them out turn to other side and cook 20 more minutes. Cooking time can change. My potatoes were big so they took about 50 minutes but if you have small potatoes they might be done in 35 minutes. Check after second cooking and if they need more time cook longer till they get crispy outside and cook all the way inside. If you need to cook longer after little bit give them one last mix and cook like that.

Notes

  • It is actually better to use normal size potatoes to give a good wedge shapes. I did not have that at hand so my potatoes were big.
  • Cooking time can change. Cook until potatoes get golden color outside and crunchy also cook inside.
